A comedy about the unique relationship between a young songwriter, Ally Dawson, and Austin Ray, the overnight internet sensation who gains sudden notoriety after performing one of Allys songs. Austin and Ally struggle with how to maintain and capitalize on Austins newfound fame. Austin is more of a rebel type who doesnt follow the rules and is somewhat immature for his age, while Ally is conservative yet self-conscious.

I am prone to liking Disney Channel shows. However, other than GoodLuck Charlie lately they seem to be going downhill.. And now that i'molder the jokes have gotten old too. So, i was wary that this showwould be corny and lame, but decided to check it out just in case(plusI really love bright blond hair on guys(Austin aka Ross Lynch)..justsayin haha). And to my surprise this show has gotten Disney back ontrack! With good original songs and likable characters, Austin and Allycould really be a hit. I am really looking forward to more episodes, even my brother likes this show and he never does, again, except forGood Luck Charlie. SO i recommend giving this show a chance, you won'tregret it.

Disney's newest venture into the sitcom/music market is "Austin &Ally", a show about a teen songwriter (with extremely bad stagefright), and an aspiring musician (who needs help writing songs). Whata perfect match. Although they don't always get along, Austin and Allyend up working together. Although I do believe the golden age of DisneyChannel (High School Musical, Hannah, Jonas, Camp Rock, Wizards) isending, I believe Austin & Ally gives the new DC some hope. The new DCshows now try to hard, such as shoving China McClain down our throatswith her mediocre singles. Shake it Up, although decent, gets tiresome. And Jessie is boring, clearly showing us Disney did not strikelightening with Debby Ryan being the new "It Girl." However, I feel asif Austin & Ally can bring Disney in a new direction, while stillstaying true to their song and dance formula that has been working (hasbeen, I repeat). Instead of trying so desperately to create the newMiley, DC can put a lot of promotion into Ross Lynch (Austin), muchlike their attention to the Jonas Brothers a few years ago. Nothingsells better than a heart throb, and Ross Lynch is likable, attractive, and can sell crowds of 6-12 year old girls. The writing is surprisinglygood for a DC show, although it is still campy, cheesy, and over thetop. The chemistry between Austin and Ally can also be much better, Ifeel as if the actors are not truly aware of their character yet. Butthese are early episodes, most kid shows progress over time (A.N.T.Farm, Victorious). Not every DC show is going to compare to HM andtheir will not be another star like Miley for years to come. Disney hasto understand this, and move on to the next thing. Instead of trying tocreate little pop starlets, they should shift their direction on a guyand hopefully Austin & Ally makes progress in acting and writing.

I love the whole plot and characters. The story is about a songwriterwho has stage fright and a singer who can't write songs. I love howthey are opposites but they work together to form a great team. Ally isthe shy songwriter who is a neat and nervous person while Austin thesinger who can't write is messy and composed. Dez is the film directorwho is crazy and wacky but very lovable. Trish is Ally's best friendand Austin's manager, she always gets fired at every job she gets whichis a very funny recurring comedic act. Ally and Austin's relationshipis from platonic to something more, it is unknown but they do show somesigns of attractions towards each other. Each of them are unique anddifferent but together they are all great friends towards each other. Ido feel that they should have a lot more seasons to come. All in allthis is a great show to watch filled with laughs and friendship.

The latest D-Com show rolling off the assembly lines at the MagicKingdom is Austin&Ally in which a would be teen bubble gum idol kind ofplagiarizes a song from a girl who writes well, but has incrediblestage fright. They seem to be a natural combination, but having seenthe first two episodes which reflect real life somewhat in that findingone's muse for creativity will be a major plot component for manyepisodes. As Richard Rodgers once said, 'melodies don't come to me, Igo to them'. I think that Laura Marano's character of Ally would agreewith that. However Austin's character the would be new Justin Bieber has hisorigins on the internet, probably Youtube. A current young teen idolnamed Greyson Chance made his breakthrough doing just that. It's thewave of the future and the Disney Studios if nothing else werecognizant of what the future holds. Can you imagine bypassing all thebarriers one previously had in trying to get the world to see yourgifts? Now young Mr. Chance has promoters coming to him. Hopefully itwill last. And hopefully young Ross Lynch as Austin will get many more songs fromLaura Marano. Austin&Ally is a nice teen comedy from Disney which isremarkably on the cutting edge of our technology.
