My favorite movie
This movie is the absolute best! It is honestly my all time favorite movie. Jim Carrey is one of the best actors ever and does not get the credit hedeserves; most actors cannot pull off this level of comedy. Jeff Danielsalso proves himself to me in this movie....I never knew he was so funny. Isaw this move twice in the theater when I was a penniless teenager, and ittook a lot for me to see a movie more than once. I can't imagine a movethat will ever beat this one out as my favorite!

OMG THE BEST MOVIE EVER!! if you haven't seen this movie yet, SEE IT RIGHT NOW!! its the funniest movie ever, and the lines are keepsakes. They work really well for inside jokes and stuff... I'VE HAD IT WITH THIS DUMP! WE GOT NO FOOD, WE GOT NO JOBS, OUR PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!! WHAT'RE WE DOING HERE HARRY? ... so i wanna go somewhere where we know somebody who can plug us in to the social pipeline! ... i thought the rocky mountains would be a lil rockier than this- i was thinkin the same thing.. that john denver's full of SHlT man!... so we back tracked a tad.. a tad? A TAD LLOYD? u drove a sixth of the way across the county, IN THE WRONG DIRECTION!.. now we dont have enough money to go to aspen, we dont have enought money to go home, we dont have enough money to eat, we dont have enough money TO SLEEP! .. we're in a hole, we're just gonna hafta dig ourselves out!! radio? who needs a radio?.. wanna hear the most annoying sound in the world?... it feels good to mingle with these laid back country folk, dont it harr?.. i like it a lot!.. what's the soup du jour? the soup of the day! that sounds good, i'll have that!.. you spilled the salt, thats whats the matter! spilling the salt is very bad luck! we're traveling across the country, the last thing we need is bad luck! quick, throw some salt over your right shoulder! "alright whos the dead man that hit me with the salt shaker?"... I called her up and she gave me some crap about me not listening to her enough or something, I don't know, I wasn't really paying attention.... As you can see this movie never gets old... Its a classic- recommend it to anyone and everyone!!! if you haven't seen it your just not cool!

Classic!!!
One of the best comedies ever! An absolute classic. It's something you can watch over and over and never get tired of it. The humor is original and silly, and the creativity definately is the main reason it was a huge success.

Bud and Doyle (Bio-Dome) all Grown up!
This movie could be placed in a hall of fame for 1 of the best comady/wackie movies of all time. No dont get wrong I know this movie isnt even close to being related to Bio-Dome but it is like Bud and Doyle from Dio dome all grown up....... A great cast in choseing... Iam glad I was able to find it on DVD since is isnt widely aviable anymore. There is sceans thow that are so funny it will make you want to rewind over and over just to see it........ Carry and Danials make a good team togather and A DUmb and Dummer II would probly be a great hit........ I recomend this as a DVD to buy before time runs out......

Could Not Get Any Funnier!
Lloyd and Harry are two complete idiots who get mixed up in a bad hostage situation that they don't even know of. While chasing the girl of their dreams. Two thugs chase them down the road. This could be one of the most classic stupid funny movies of all times. It has some of my favorite movie lines in it, in which when you talk about a funny part of the movie everybody will laugh and say, "Ya, I remember that, that was hilarous!" This is one of my favorite comedys ever!

Best (and funniesr) movie ever made!
I'll tell you, flat out, perfectly honest, i've seen this movie about.... oh, say 60, maybe 70 times, i can recite the whole movie from memory, and have noticed every single joke possibly concievable from this movie. SO whi is it, that every time I watch it, I crack up hysterically every 20 seconns? it because of the shear genius of Lloyd Christmas'(Carrey) utter stupidity, because of Harry Dunn's(Daniels) complete lack of any common sense. The movie isnt like other comedies, you know, the ones you buy, laugh at them once, watch it again, and say,"Why did I even think of buyin' this?" Well this movie, about two complete idiots, who have been best friends all their life, aqcuire a briefcase that was left in an air terminal by the prettiest woman Lloyd has ever seen. Now Lloyd and a reluctant Harry travel cross country, from Providence to Aspen, just to return the briefcase. Along the way, they'll unkowingly run into kidnappers, "laid back country folk" as Lloyd would say, and more than one police squad, just to return a briefcase that they dont even know whats in it, or the entire womans name! You have to see it!

A dose of humor from Carrey and Daniels
Dumb and Dumber reprised two stupid losers who try to get a briefcase backto it's owner. Comedy ensues with excellent performances by Carrey andDaniels. The comedy is different from others and is one of a kind (DeadParakeet, Chili Burgers)... One hilarious romp with fun.

A true classic comedy
This has to be one of the funniest movies ever made. Most of the time, when you see a comedy, most movies just go flat out for the gags, and couldn't give a crap about the plot. This movie however, pays very close attention to the plot and the gags. This combination makes for a great movie. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are absolutely brilliant in acting dumb. They have the best one-liners in this movie, and possibly the best one-liners in any movie ever made. It's hard to think also that this was the first movie ever directed by the Farrelly Brothers. These guys are true comic geniuses, and they went on to proove this point in the movies, Kingpin and There's Something About Mary. IMO, this is the one true Dumb and Dumber movie that you should see, don't even waste your time on the prequel.

This was one of the funniest movies i have ever seen and it still has a point. Unlike Monty Python and the Holy Grail, i has something we all can relate to. It keeps you laughing through the whole thing. Also unlike other comedies, it has drama, suspense, love, and other qualities to a serious movie. And yet, it is still hilarious

The funniest movie of 1994!
Dumb and Dumber stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as two "mentally disabled"people. One day Lloyd Christmas (Carrey) drives a woman (Lauren Holly) tothe airport. He instanly falls in love with Holly. Then he finds she lefther suitcase on the floor, and tries to get it to her, but fails. So thenLloyd convinces Harry (Daniels) to drive to Aspen, Colorado, and give Hollyher briefcase back.This is an extremely funny movie. It had some great gross-out gags. I thinkthis was Carrey's best film to date. It any of you like the Farrely Brothersmovies (There's Something About Mary, Kingpin) you'll like this just asmuch. *** out of ****

***SPOILERS AHOY***Every scene in this film is a memorable one. Jim Carrey doesn't steal theshow the way he usually does. Everyone is funny in it. One of the bestmoments is the scene when a man is over-anxiously waiting for Mentalino toget of the phone, bangs on the booth, gets up to the glass, and Mentalinofuriously punches him to the ground with an explosion of glass, and calmlyreturns to his call. Or Harry and Lloyd eating dangerously hot gummi peppersand using ketchup and mustard to "hose out the fire". We all remember SeaBass.And who can forget Lloyd's dream? In this hilarious scene, we actually getto see inside the mind of the most obnoxious idiot alive. The hilariousrestaurant fight is the best, where Lloyd kills a karate-kicking chef in oneof the most horrible ways imaginable, and Mary Swanson swoons at himafterward.This film of course has the Farrelly Brothers' grossout moments too. One ofthe most notorious gross-out scenes in film history occurs when Lloyd getsrevenge on Harry for stealing his girlfriend by offering him a cup of teaspiked with a whole bottle of laxative. His resulting peristaltic rushnearly shoots him off the john.You have to see this movie to appreciate how funny it is. It ranks as one ofthe all-time classic comedies.

This is one of the best movies ever. I laugh so hard ever time I watch it. Every scene is great and Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels do a great job and they are hilarious. This movie has so many memorable lines that I hear people say all the time.

Flat Out Funny
I thought this movie was going to be as dumb as movies like Dead man on campus and still smokin' but is wasnt a preety good comedy ecept for the Mock-yeah,ing-yeah, bird-yeah part.

Brilliant stupidity
Some 'dumb' comedies can take idiotic humour and elevate it to anotherlevel. This is one of those films.The story follows Harry (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd (Jim Carrey) as theytrek cross-country, ostensibly to return a briefcase to Mary Swanson(Lauren Holly) but equally motivated by Lloyd's desire to strike up arelationship with her. There is some inventiveness in the situationsthat the duo get themselves into but the story isn't exactly 'edge ofyour seat' material.The movie lives up to its name with the humour stemming from utterstupidity in most cases. Carrey & Daniels are adept at imbuing theircharacters with a sincerity that makes the idiotic comments they makeendearing in a way.This is perhaps Jim Carrey's finest hour with his comic timing andrubber-faced mugging frequently drawing laughs. Jeff Daniels is apretty good complement to Carrey's shenanigans though he isn't in thesame league as him. The supporting cast is merely alright, with amemorable turn by Mike Starr, who's usually relegated to smaller roles.There's nothing worth remarking about in terms of direction but I willcomment on the music. It's a mish-mash of then-hip alternative songs,featured prominently enough at times to seem like an advertisement forthe soundtrack album. Remember Dead Eye Dick's hit "New Age Girl"?Worse than the songs, though, are the (thankfully) brief snippets of asort of love theme. On the other hand, there's an excellent use of TheCowsill's "The Rain, the Park & Other Things".This film isn't exactly awards material but it's a pretty pleasantdiversion. Beware, though, that I've seen it butchered on television(even though it's actually quite tame), so your best bet is to stickwith video/DVD.

I remember the tender age of 13 when I first saw Dumb &Dumber. I love thewayRubberface plays a dumbass. This movie displays Mr. Carey's talent as acomedian and it's a film you can't help but laugh at. Check itout.

The Farrelly Brothers at their Best!
This hysterical comedy starring Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey is filled with some of the funniest lines and sight gags I've seen in a long time. The plot is basically this, although it veers around somewhat through all of the antics the two half-wits get into; Lloyd(Jim Carrey), meets the woman of his dreams, Mary(Lauren Holly) while picking her up to drive her to the airport. Unbeknownst to him as she walks to her gate, she leaves a briefcase on the ground to be picked up by two tough looking criminals(Karen Duffy and Mike Starr). Not wanting his love at first sight Mary to forget her briefcase, Lloyd springs out of the limo, grabs the briefcase before the thugs can, runs after Mary'[s already departed plane, and falls off the jetway. It turns out that he and his best friend Harry(Jeff Daniels) has also been fired, so Lloyd tells Harry about his new-found love. "L: She actually talked to me, man! H: Get outta here!" Lloyd decides to pursue Mary, who told him that her next stop would be Aspen. Harry agrees to go with Lloyd, whild they unknowingly are pursued by the two criminals. This movie is a scream! Jim Carrey is wonderful as Lloyd, as is Jeff Daniels playing the equally moronic Harry. Also great is the supporting Lauren Holly, who incidentally began dating Carrey after the movie finished. The smaller roles are perfectly played by Karen Duffy, Mike Starr, Charles Rocket, Teri Garr, and Victoria Rowell. You'll laugh yourself silly!

Cult Comedy
funniest movie i ever saw. oh man i have become a fan of Jim . i thinkhe is the funniest comic actor ever. and Jeff also did a fabulous job.i am from India and i am not up to Hollywood movies much. but i havebecome a huge fan of Jim and the movie. i think it is a cult movie. anddefinitely a must watch movie before u die. i hardly could stoplaughing throughout the movie. i know the review is coming very late(lol). but believe me after watching the movie i couldn't stop cominghere to write a review. i want to rate the movie 100 on 10. May godbless Jim and Jeff for giving me, perhaps, the funniest 2 hours of mylife. Hates off to them.

Best comedy ever
This is the one movie where you dont care at all about the story, you just have to watch Lloyd and Harry move and speak - they are simply hilarious in their stupidity.I dont really like comedies, but I love Dumb and Dumber. I could watch it again and again and still love it. Lloyd and Harry are the best duo that has hit the big screen in a "dumb" movie.The movie does not depend on good-looking actors/actress or on special effects/visuals, it's all about the situations and the pair of idiots that you are invited to follow... The result is great. I laughed hard a number of times.Plus the movie also has a very nice soundtrack overall.
