Saw this movie last night and left the cinema NOT disappointed. I'm nota big fan of the FF franchise and wasn't too excited to see this one,but thankfully this was different (and got treated to free tickets). Ienjoyed the story a lot, thought the acting from every character wasdecent and the comedy were used at the right moments. Don't know about anyone else but the film reminded me a lot of Ocean's11 in terms of the plot with the objective of pulling off "one last"job/heist. The elaborate planning to pull it off wasn't over the top, matter of fact I don't think it even went down the way they originallyplanned it due to unforeseen circumstances but nothing seemed "off"with how the film progressed. Only gripe I have, if any, is the cliché rich villain who seemingly hasthe entire police force in his payroll. A lot of viewers started walking out when the credits start rolling butI recommend you stay (ala Iron Man). No, Samuel L. Jackson/Nick Furywon't appear trying to recruit Dom into the Avengers, but it does havean interesting twist that suggest there could be a 6th film. If theyexecute the potential 6th installment the way they did this then I'ddefinitely watch it.

This review is from: Fast Five (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging) (Blu-ray) i say this movie was the best one out of all of the others. this movie have less racing but more explosions and fighting so if you like seeing things blow up you probably like this movie. what i didn't like was they exaggerated on some of the stunts.

The first Fast movie I saw was #4 and only because my son begged me to go. The movie grabbed me from the opening shot, and didn't let go until the close. I literally found myself trying to catch a breath at times. Of course, I immediately had to go out and buy the first three. #1 was so good I couldn't believe I'd missed it for all these years. #2 was very good with at least one of the original cast and the addition of a couple of other good actors. #3 was nothing like the others, but was, for what it was, watchable. I couldn't wait for Fast Five to open and was not disappointed at all. We are huge Vin Diesel fans and love the Rock, so this was a real treat for us. We've actually seen it twice at the theaters and will probably go at least one more time. And I just preordered the DVD.No matter how you see it, though, sit through the credits for a real surprise! If you love good action movies, no matter how improbably they are (and really, anything else is just real life, isn't it), don't wait to see this one.

This review is from: Fast Five (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging) (Blu-ray) Great product at an excellent buy. The product was exactly as described with all the different avenues of viewing. For all these car fans it's a great fast paced movie that helps to capitalize on the fast and furious past of the original movies.

This review is from: Fast Five (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy in Blu-ray Packaging) (Blu-ray) Don't get me wrong, I love the Fast and Furious trilogy, and I understand that the movie has what we call in Brazil: "the artistic right" to show things a bit different for the sake of a better result, but when you see the movie, please consider:- Rio Police cars are not Mustangs, Camaros or anything closer...these cars are way, way, way too much expensive in Brazil than they are in US, therefore you need to have some good cash to afford having one of those.- Yes, there is a lot of corruption in Rio Police, and the idea of a safe like the one depicted by the movie would only be feasible if it was sponsored by that guy...no, I'm not going to tell it...see the movie ^^. But anyway, it was a nice catch: I would never think about it...- If a "gringo" go to a favela and shows a handgun like that (well, first of all, he would never be able to get there the way he did...), no matter how big it is (the gringo and the gun)...he will LOSE it there...and get killed, of course (not necessarily in this sequence). So kids, don't try it there, OK?! Well, I've got a lot of fun watching the movie for the action, and laughed a lot remembering the scenes and writing down this review. It it great fun for everybody though.

So I liked this movie... as a bad movie. If you want to see a good action flick that is laughing at itself along the way then check out Fast Five. My only complaint... not enough cars!!!!!!!

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster team up again one final time for some more heart pounding adrenaline action. This movie takes place after Fast and Furious. The film brings the crew back together in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil for one last job to get their freedom before disappearing forever. Some of the previous stars through the past Fast and Furious films return, including Tyrese Gibson, (Roman Pearce - 2 Fast 2 Furious) Ludacris (Tej - 2 Fast 2 Furious), Gal Gadot, (Gisele - Fast and Furious) Matt Schulze (Vince -The Fast and Furious) and Sung Kang (Han - Tokyo Drift) all return for one of the most action packed Fast and Furious movies ever. They are faced with a tough federal agent Luke Hoobs (the Rock) who will stop at nothing to hunt them down. I will not give away any more but, I'm happy to say Fast Five does not disappoint. This Movie is action packed from start to finish, and even though it has many over the top moments it is still one heck of an enjoyable action ride. Just like the original film that started it all, this new and final installment will also have you on the edge of your seat. Don't listen to bitter critics, if you like a fun entertaining movie to take you away from your life for a few hours check this movie out! Im going to miss Paul and Vin and all the crew, but will be forever thankful for all the awesome Fast films they brought us and am happy to watch them again and again on DVD or blu-ray! Fast Five [Blu-ray]Be sure and stay for the end credits for a unexpected twist.

This review is from: Fast Five (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo in Blu-ray Packaging) (Blu-ray) I believe this is my favorite of all the Fast & Furious Movies. A lot of action and of coarse humor with some drama. It's definately a movie you can watch over and over again! It's a must have for the Fast & Furious Fan!

As understood, nice police officers had justice taken in their hands by stealing voult of not nice guys from a storage.Near a sci-fiction story with blood, murdering and questionable moral.

The Fast and the Furious was Oh My God! FnF: New Model Original Partswas AMAZIN. If this is true with you, get set for a more pumpinadrenaline session. The movie focuses on Dom, cars and action but in anall together different way. With the backdrop of Rio De Janeiro, itfeels needed to add a kick ass character and so comes Dwayne Johnson.Dwayne is like a different spice in the movie and that too so damneasily.A superb hell crazy film, you would love to watch it back to back. Andplease be seated after you are over with many OMG moments, as when youare done with the movie........BOOOOOOM! comes a surprise after thecredits roll up (This is really the cherry over the cake). You love cars, you love them in action and finally if you love watchina hardcore manly film, this is your take.Go Fast and buy yourself a ticket to epinephrine.

I only seen the first Fast and the Furious and I own it on DVD. Iskipped out on the sequels, mostly because of the bad word of mouth. When Fast Five was released, I didn't have intentions on seeing ituntil I learned that The Rock was in it. However, I wasn't sure if thefilm would deliver. After some positive word of mouth from severalpeople, I was convinced on seeing it. So on a cold, rainy day and anawful week that had passed me by, I decided to give this movie a spin. And boy was I surprised!Fast Five is one exhilarating movie! It didn't start out well. Withoutseeing the previous installments, and barely remembering the first, Iwas a little lost in the beginning. Where things picked up was in thetrain robbery scene where Vin Diesel and Paul Walker (who's bestperformance is in Running Scared) are having that fight scene. It waspretty awesome, up until the end but I guess that's where thesuspension of disbelief comes into play. The movie doesn't linger onto any dramatic scenes for too long. Thefilmmakers know that their target audience came for the fast cars andaction. Who cares about any subplots and talking? The Rock makes agrand entrance and is provided with enough screen time to make The Rockfans happy. I also like the turn of events with his character near theend. It was handled brilliantly.Speaking of the end, the climax is probably one of the best climaxesI've seen in a very long time. I think it probably nailed the wholesummer movie feel. By the end of the movie, I felt that this is whatsummer movies are meant to be. I don't know if the director Justin Linsaved the franchise, as I don't even know if the franchise was introuble in the first place. However, this movie might have introducedmore fans. With the series being stagnant for so long, I can honestlysay that I'll be looking forward to the sixth installment.

This review is from: Fast Five (DVD) I had actually gone to the movies and viewed the movie there. The movie seemed a little long at the time and I knew I did not catch everything... That is why I purchased it! Overall great movie!

How it possible that everything they needed would have just appeared orat hand right away? The cars, the weapons, the exact model of the supersafe, the money, or even the beers they drank? The screenplay writershave no respect of the viewers least I.Q. and treated us like moronswho only played and believed the scenarios of video games, the plots, the weaponry, the killings, the thefts and so on, everything justshowed up whenever or wherever you wanted or needed. There were so manyflaws in this poorly crafted screenplay, the plot was so ridiculousthat you have to put your basic reasoning ability aside or into deepcoma to allow those absolutely impossible handy stuff appeared on thescreen one after another, and don't forget their playground was inBrazil? Get an exact model of the super safe right away? Need a fastcar, go get it from a street race. Need several police cars to fool thepolice underground garage security camera? Go get from the policecarpool yard. Need a warehouse to hide? No problem, you got it rightaway. Want to get into the police security system? That's easy, man, just clogging their toilets and without hiring by the police to calltheir plumbing service, you just walked in to fix it? Showing up,claiming you were FBI and left a box with a remote-control toy car forthe Brazilian police to bring it into the safe/storage room withouteven checking? There were so many stupid conveniently-ready stuff inthis brain-dead movie, but still, nothing could turn off the superiorhandling of the exciting street firefights and the car&safe chase andrun-away scenes of this movie, and it was indeed fantastic!

It is difficult for me to get to the theater so when I go I really wantit to count, $20 is a lot to spend to waste 2 hours of my life. To thisend I review IMDb and RT for guidance. So far, my experience doing thishas substantiated the notion that movies with the best ratings areindeed good movies. An averaging of so many movie enthusiast's opinionsshould be a pretty solid indicator of the overall strength of a film, right? With Fast Five I knew I was taking a chance, the first of the F& F movies being primarily puerile nonsense, the sequels being merelymore of the same. But with a rating of 7.9 I figured it was worth ashot. I enjoy a good action movie as much as the next guy. So I shelledout $25 to see the IMAX version and what did I discover? More puerilenonsense. Ridiculous plot line, action sequences that were just plainstupid or made no sense whatsoever. A juvenile exercise in car crashes, over testosteroned overmuscled tough guys grunting at each other amidsta world of scantily clad females, car crashes and shoot outs. A 7.9?Seriously? Is there a way to see how the ratings may be skewed bymasses of teenagers who loved this movie? But more importantly: Can Ihave my $25 back now?

When I first saw its trailer in the theatre, I thought it's going to be another bad sequel. How wrong I was! I have watched Fast Five both in the theatre and at home. Every time, I was absolutely entertained. That's the feeling I haven't got for a long time after watching action films. The excitement is non-stop from the beginning till the end. I'm sorry, I can't go into details here. Otherwise, it will ruin your excitement. The special effects with cars are the best that I've ever seen so far. Especially, in the last scene where 2 cars pulled the vault into the street. Of course, I had to suppress my logic to enjoy the movie. If you like action scenes with cars, you don't want to miss this one.In short, this is the best of all action sequences. It's also one of the BEST that my MONEY CAN GET. I own a DVD copy of it.
