Hanna (Ronan) is a teenage girl. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a soldier these come from being raised by her father (Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Finland. Living a life unlike any other teenager, her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Ms. Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.

So, How to put this in as few words as possible.exciting? (very much so) score (most excellent) pacing (driven and tothe point)In a nutshell, a fantastic piece of cinema. Nothing to complicated, nothing to droll and a nice mix of exotic set pieces. The summary is simple, a young girl sheltered by the modernizationaround her is raised by her father in a remote forest in northernFinland. Her desire to learn about herself and the world around her is put tothe ultimate test and a cat and mouse game of survival ensues. Not much more I'd like to say, if you watch it I think everything isnicely delivered and straight forward enough.side-note.The score by the "Chemical Brothers" is absolutely fantastic and reallyadds a lot to the elements in the film.Good acting all around and I hope to see more from the lead.9.5 out 10 for providing a thoughtful, intelligent, and good characterdriven action in the midst of Hollywood's barrage of over the topaction set pieces with little to no heart. (I'm looking @ you MichaelBay)well, cheers and enjoy the film, I know I did.p.s. On second viewing I actually enjoyed this even more and was ableto appreciate the vast amount of humour and detail throughout.-aLastor.

CONTAINS SPOILERS!This movie was by far better than a cheesy spy thriller where there isa spy just running from someone.Saoirse Ronan is incredible in this movie. Her character is veryintelligent and likable (except for the opening where she kills a deerand seems cruel). The character Hanna has a very good line that is her first and last inthe movie. She says "I just missed your heart." *Shoots deer/Marissa inthe head*.Also, Cate Blanchett was fantastic as Marissa. But, she does go on andoff with a southern accent.Eric Bana's performance was phenomenal. You are drawn in by his solidperformance which makes you think you are in the movie.Saoirse Ronan is by far the best actress in the movie. She isfascinating throughout the whole movie. The character development makes you think that you know these peoplepersonally and this is an award winner for sure.Hanna was a great movie. I give it a 10/10.

I entered the theater thinking that in the worst case, it would be agood action flick and in the best case, something truly original andmemorable. It was an average action flick and neither original normemorable. This film takes a tired sci fi premise, the human with unusualabilities from a science experiment, and tries to make it original bymaking the main character a teenage girl. It isn't enough. The movie isbasically a chase scene. Hanna is on the run to confront and presumablykill the CIA bigwig who started, then terminated the scienceexperiment. The scenes of CIA skullduggery are laughable, lessbelievable even than "Salt." There are a few moments of humor and thevisuals are interesting. There's a detour of sorts in the plot whenHanna befriends a family on vacation. This is the most interesting partof the movie. Then the film reverts to the chase scene that is its plotline. I thought that the ending might be some sort of surprise orrevelation, but there was none. I had the impression the screenwritersmight have thought they wrote a funny or ironic ending, but they didnot--it just fell flat. I will say I enjoyed looking at Eric Bana inwet underwear, and the Grimm's Fairy Tales theme park was intriguing asa set for some of the final confrontations.

There's a surplus of female spy/assassin movies these days. Most areoverly sexualized misguided attempts at feminism. Hanna doesn't sufferfrom such generic nonsense as it focuses on a young girl trained by herfather to kill a single target. Ronan is exceptional in her role as acurious teenager bred to be the ultimate killer. We don't learn toomuch about these characters, which is harmful in some spots, but mostlytheir interactions tell us everything we need to know. If you'reworried about this being your usual action espionage thriller, you canrest easy that it soon takes a brand new turn. Hanna meets up with amiddle class English family enjoying their holidays. This is theperfect opportunity for Wright to display what Hanna has missed out onall these years, and also gives him the opportunity to flex somecomedic muscles. The end is pure fairytale. From the gorgeous settingof an abandoned theme park, to each character drawing parallels withfairytale counterparts. The action is also handled with confidence, showing clearly the fights and thrills. Bana's subway fight isparticularly memorable in an Oldboy hallway kind of way. A film thatshows freshness can be injected into any familiar sub-genre.

Now say your expecting to watch an action movie. No, your first choicewould not be Hanna. I never even heard of the before beforehand. Butnevertheless, I wanted to see an action movie. There was tons and tons, but nothing quite matched up to the critical rating of Hanna. And thepremise seemed interesting enough. Not too fancy, nothing toooverloaded, and come on, it got a 71% on Rotten Tomatoes. So I clickedthe add to queue button and clicked play, oblivious to what I was infor. Expecting a contrived action flick that will entertain, notthought-provoke...I came out of the movie itself. Hanna was really an experience. Butthen I got onto IMDb to see it having a low average. It really saddensme how movies have to be cliché in order to be good. Hanna dismembersthese. If this film was directed by, say, Michael Bay, everything wouldbe explosion to explosion, no substance. But Joe Wright gave hiseverything to this film. The film is filled with substance, action, anda brilliant soundtrack from the Chemical Brothers. So, let's getstarted, shall we? The movie's acting was surprisingly great. This wasthe first role I've seen Saoirse Ronan in and she did a brilliant job.I was surprised at how she showed emotion and her delivery was on-time,great, unexpected. She also played the twist of her role well, like shewasn't exactly human after all. Every supporting character did great aswell. The movie is a slow-burner. And yet the movie is highlyinteresting, and has this weird atmosphere you're not sure to escape tostay put. I loved the directing as well, Joe Wright gave the film histwist to the story. It was actually pretty creepy and dark. And themovie knows how to pace itself without going from action scene toaction scene. Now this is what the mainstream audience doesn'tunderstand, action does not complete a film. Hanna does have it's shareof action, but it doesn't glamorize it. And that reminds me, the actionwas great! Have you ever seen a movie where the fight scenes are soshaky and close-up to the character's face, you don't even see most ofthe action? Hanna differs. It was well-choreographed, well-played, andwell-designed. It was different. And different is good. I'm not sure to recommend or not. I loved the movie myself, but most ofthe community here would not enjoy it as much as I did. To closelycompare, the movie was an art-house action film. It provided theatmosphere, the action, and the slow-burner pacing. And to visualize iteven more, the movie was like a dark fairy tale. It was all done sowell and great, you're going to be transfixed in a world like no other. And that's not exactly what people want nowadays. Here, here's a plan.I'll get someone to cut out all the "boring" scenes for you and keepall the action scenes. Then know your finalized movie is pure nothing, and I surely hope you enjoy it! I kid, but the movie is surely not foreveryone. If you like artsy movies, that succeed at drifting away frombeing clichéd, this is your kind of movie. It provides everything youcould ever dream of. If your a mainstream viewer, who idolizes MichaelBay, then this isn't your type of film. And mainstream viewer, there, Imissed your heart..9/10.

This review is from: Hanna [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray) First, I liked this movie, and violated my $10 limit rule for blu-ray (having paid $14 total) to buy it.For the full story line, go to wikipedia.Like most have said, the pace and setup was excellent until Hanna pulls the locator switch, then it drags a bit.Seeing Hanna as an involuntary 16-year old Jason Bourne character who is also coming-at-age was, to say the least, an interesting story line.If you keep several points in mind, you'll find the movie more creditable and enjoyable. Her DNA was altered to eliminate compassion, pity, etc. and make her stronger with increased mental focus, so 90 lbs of Hanna Heller equals 1 grown up Jason Bourne. She kills in self defence, and I have to admit, while I cheered for her, knocking off CIA operatives who should be chasing down Al-Qaeda terrorists instead, had me conflicted. But those CIA operatives were scum of the earth while the soldiers were pawns who would kill tribal leaders while hunting insurgents; it is after all, a rogue operation which is why Marissa hires Isaacs ("Why do you want me?" Marissa: "The CIA won't let me do some things", or something like that). Many viewers couldn't accept the "reason" for the 14-year hunt for Eric & Hanna Heller, but the same story line exists with 3 Jason Bourne movies so just believe that if the CIA wants you dead, they won't forget. It is a bit weak as Marissa, 14 years ago, seems to be just a field assassin. Marissa looks hot, and would probably bother a lot of male spymasters.Right after her escape from the CIA compound in the middle of the No. African desert (does Morocco know about it), Hanna comes in contact with everyday life and real people for the first time after leaving the Finland artic cocoon. The Spanish boy will now learn not to grab girls inappropriately. It also humanizes her for the audience, and you want her to win and thrive, I did, at least. At the end, everybody dies but Hanna . . . horray, but what becomes of her ? bleeding from a bullet in her side, and "father" and grandmother also dead. Where does she go, and who is going to mentor her towards emotional maturity. I wanted a little more sugar, and I'll see if my 11-year old daughter can get some Hanna training before the boys arrive.

I watched this as part of a regular Wednesday movie night with friends. The comment from one was that the person who made this movie reallyjust wanted to make a big music video, with another mentioning that oneof the escape scenes was really over the top. Their views are bothquite correct, but I LOVE big music and action scenes (see Tron: Legacyand The Fifth Element). The way the plot unfolds is interesting. The back story to thesituation gets revealed bit by bit, keeping you hooked to see not onlythe end, but the beginning as well.My reason for giving it a 9 is mostly that the very last line of themovie is very predictable and lame. I also wouldn't consider this movieto be an absolute favourite of mine. It was great, but not awesome. Most of the plot and the individual scenes were top notch, but therewere some areas that didn't seem to flow so well. There was also atleast one scene where the entire room laughed. I can't for the life ofme remember what it was.Bottom Line: The summary for this movie is misleading. I expectedsomething quite lame, and found something excellent instead.

An average movie with no original ideas was bumped up to a memorablemovie because of the original score by the Chemical Brothers and thevery dark, mischievous, and psychotically funny 3 henchmen (especiallyTom Hollander whose character reminded me a lot of Elle Driver whenwhistling "the devil is in the beats" throughout the movie).Immediately after seeing the movie, I had to buy songs because of theaddictive score that you cannot get out of your head. The directing by Joe Wright also includes an honorable mention forseparating this movie from all the other thrillers. His artistic stylemade the movie seem more intense and kept the audience engaged evenduring scenes where Hanna is trying to come to understand the realworld.I cannot do a review without mentioning the amazing (and in my opinion, blows Dakota Fanning out of the water) Saoirse Ronan. No words canexplain how awesome she is. Just see the movie!

Hanna a very different thriller that plays like a twisted fairy tale. Hanna is played perfectly by Saoirse Roan. Directed by Joe Wright, Atonement, If you didn't know better you would swear he had directed action before. The movie does have a lot of action. Filmed very well, not that shaky camera stuff either. The plot is a little thin and the ending is pretty much predictable. The acting was really good again. Eric Banna no stranger to action, and Cate Blanchete who plays the villain over the top but you can tell she had fun with it. The movie is being called a art house action movie because after Hanna thinks she takes care of her problems she has to trek across Europe mostly with a very odd family where Hanna Learns about the world and how ill prepared she is to deal with it. Just when things start to fell slow the movie kicks back into action until its ending. The cinematography is insanely beautiful. Form the Cold winter wonderland to the scorching desert, Hanna's whole journey looks amazing on Blu ray. The score is one of the best I have heard, somewhat like Tron Legacy's score, its loud and will get your heart pumping. My only problems were I had a slight disconnect with the family Hanna stays with and I thought it shouldn't have been so predictable. Overall the movie has great action, and action with a coming of age movie, really changes the feel in this original movie. Grade: A-

This is an interesting one. It seems to provoke very strong reactions.People either seem to love it or detest it. I suppose if i was anartist or filmmaker that would be something i would seek.I certainly didn't love it but i did like it a lot. I can understandmany of the criticisms that others have made about it but i still foundit an enjoyable experience because the story is compelling and i didwant to see what happened. The design and style and atmosphere createdare perfect for the story being told and the main performances werecompelling and convincing. There is little point talking about the plotbecause it is easy to spoil the movie for others, suffice it to saythat it is a melding of many other films, like Leon, the BourneIdentity, Run Lola Run but it is also heavily influenced, in story, characterisation and design by European fairy tales both overtly withthe scenes in the abandoned Brothers Grimm theme park but alsoimplicitly, with Cate Blanchet channelling the Ice Queen for herperformance. Also on the plus side is the feel of the movie. It feels like aEuropean movie, rather than a movie simply set in Europe (see Taken)and the pumping Techno soundtrack by the Chemical Brothers drives theaction on and adds to the 'chase' feel of the plot. I would also citethe main performances as a reason this movie works. Firstly there isSaorise Ronan who is perfect as the blank slate, intellectually but notemotionally prepared for the world. Hers has been a simple life, whereall efforts have been made to prepare her for the task ahead but she isable to communicate her surprise and pleasure at seeing andexperiencing what she had only read about in an encyclopedia. Eric Banais also great as the father figure who is single-mindedly preparingHanna for the confrontation ahead but while his performance iscontained, he is able to communicate the strength of feeling that hehas for his daughter and protégé. And Cate as mentioned is verycomfortable as the Ice Queen, icy and deadly but also has the subtletyto get across her emotional connection to the case. What drives thoseemotions is not always clear but they are obvious beneath the icyexterior. I also loved the creepy and sinister Tom Hollander which camecompletely out of left-field.I'd like to address some of the main criticisms made in other reviews. The plot does have holes you could drive a double-decker bus through, but where in a lesser movie this would drive me to distraction, i wasso caught up in this that it didn't have that effect. The Englishfamily were annoying. So? They were meant to be annoying. They arebased on the directors own family and they are typical of middle classpseudo hippy, modern parents...Guess what, those people are annoying. The accents are awful but Europe is such a melting pot that people dohave such mongrel accents and some of the characters are agents, practiced in deceit and might be expected to slip from time totime...Get over it. Some threads are left unexplained, like the fate ofthe English family...Well considering most people found them annoying,i can't see why people are so exercised but what we have is a Directorthat trusted his audience enough so that he didn't have to explainevery little detail and allowed us to decide their fate forourselves...but for those with little imagination, then simply look atwhat happens to the others who the 'bad guys' encounter during thechase or take solace in the fact that they were not tortured and couldbe released after being spun a line about the CIA tracking down amurderer to save the life of Hanna. While by no means a perfect film this has enough pace, style, skill andatmosphere to make it a very enjoyable watch.

I am writing this review because of reading the negative reviews afterseeing this movie. Personally I found this movie an emotionalroller-coaster. After 5min I was at the edge of my seat and I neverleft it. Normally I loose my attention after about 10min but this moviereally intrigued me. Probably due the brilliant acting by Saoirse Ronanand the soundtrack the chemical brothers. The biggest critique are the holes in the story and some unrealisticscenario's. I can find myself in some of them and in others I don't butboth didn't spoil the fun for me. As much for not knowing the motivesof the CIA etc.: Hanna might did neither. I think that it might hasbeen the meaning of the story writer to put you in same situation Hannawas in. To let you experience a kind of childish ignorance. I my casethis really succeeded. See it as something different. I didn't watchthe trailer but it might raised the expectations of a bourne movie inwhich case you'll be greatly disappointed for sure. The only foul(in my eyes) in the story that I found pretty annoying wasthe fact that Hanna tells her and her 'dad's' rendezvous point to somechildren. In the beginning of the movie she's pretty much beingbrainwashed by her 'dad' and I can't imagine him not telling her to bediscrete like a million times.Bottomline: if you are not looking for a movie with a genius plot andcomplex story lines but for a movie telling an interesting story abouta young girl assassin, grown up in the wilderness, traveling throughEurope having her first experiences with society('into the wild' inreverse if you will), combined with the some of the most beautifulmusic ever made: this might be the movie for you(sorry for the longsentence). Because this movie is really something special in my eyes Irate it 9 stars. I think it's a love/hate thing, three quarters of thepeople rate is below 4 and the remaining above 8: either you reallylike it or you really hate it.
spider_guy85 (17 May 2012)
Just like the eponymous character in the film, Hanna has its fair shareof hits and misses. The perfect-killing machine action genre has beenplayed to death since the Bourne series but film-goers expecting therealistic and technical style of the aforementioned will be presentedwith something different. On the spectrum of action movies, Hanna sitssomewhere between the Bourne series and Kick-Ass. The action and gunplay and fist fights are as technically impressive as the former butthe characters, especially that of Hanna's pursuers who look like theyare straight out of the set of This Is England, are more comic-book intheir appeal. In fact, the movie has the feel of a comic-bookadaptation all over it, just minus an actual comic to be based on andas a result the film oozes style. The character Hanna herself and EricBana's father figure role are basically a more feral Hit Girl and BigDaddy. The soundtrack is a character itself in this movie and fans ofthe Chemical Brothers will be spoiled as Hanna virtually acts as a2-hour videoclip for some of the electronic duo's finest work to date. It's a shame then that the action sequences in this movie haveconsequently been edited like that of a music video clip and cuts tothe thumping and pulsating beat of the duo's blips and bloops when amore subdued and sombre approach could have achieved as much of animpact. As a whole, the movie is inconsistent; everything from theplot, the direction and performances range from gripping and utterlybreath-taking to frustrating and unnecessary.

HANNA (2011) answers all the big questions about us: who we are, why we are here, where we are going (read: where we are destined to go). In a funny way that I dearly loved, HANNA answered these queries without really saying a word about them. In fact, HANNA has a lot of fun and incredible stuff that it never mentions. Watch this one with your eyes peeled! It's hard to review a PG-13 actioner about a beautiful young girl, Hanna (the gorgeous and sweet Saoirse Ronan whom I first saw in the quirky City of Ember, see my review), who also happens to be a well-trained killing machine. Raised in the wild by her father (an excellent Eric Bana), Hanna can do anything and survive anywhere. What she really wants to know is, What is music? This represents only a taste of the deficiencies in her upbringing - but the circumstances forbid me to even mention the story arc beyond the bare bones. At a crucial time of Hanna's own choosing, she may activate a homing device that will set the U.S. government on her and her father's tails. Naturally there is an excellent and very emotional reason for this, which I will not spoil.Ronan is a most skilled girl; she sweetly devours the role of Hanna and I sense she had great fun doing it. I had the most fun of my life watching her, as she runs off, set to rendezvous with her father in Berlin - and the animadventures she will suffer along the way. She meets and falls in love with a spoiled, vacant little British teen girl, sees Morocco and parts of Germany, gets caught and instantly escapes. The soundtrack by The Chemical Brothers is some a-kickin' music, the kind of swift 'martial-arts-techno' I love. In fact Ronan reminded me very much of the most skilled martial artists I have ever seen - no mean feat. Then again, I truly love this plucky, game little actress no matter what she's doing. And being trained by the great Master Dan Inosanto didn't hurt her! What a career she has in store, what treats await us in the future from this fine young girl. This film has pathos, humor, truly evil bad guys who blur with the good guys, if there even are any "good guys". Hanna knows she does not want to be what she is, does not want to live as she has been. She wants to see and know the world, and not hurt anyone. In short, she wants to be a superhero. This film, as I said, has all the answers contained in it - including Hanna's story. Many have said they do not understand this, they do not understand that. Watch, listen and learn. It is all here. A truly weird, Shakespearian ending, aside from being absolutely brilliant, is wide open for a sequel or two - or perhaps not. That is part of its brilliance. HANNA is the only film I can even think of that changes genres twice before our eyes. Again, no mean feat.I wanted more simply because this is so good. There is a European minimalism here which I find refreshing, and blended with the Dadaist humor, I suspect a lot was riding on Europe's acceptance of this work of art. It will do well in Europe too, especially Germany and Norway. This is no vacant, lame-brained vehicle for violence/mindless action. This is a joy, an epiphany and a supremely sad story. Or ... is it a sad story?Star power here, aside from Bana and Ronan, includes the great Tom Hollander and Cate Blanchett. It is spiced in an important way by a brief appearance by the lovely Vicky Krieps.Let me show you a list of films that HANNA is related to, pays homage to, and to heck with people yakking about "Grimm's Fairy Tales":The Golem (Restored Authorized Edition), The Phantom of the Opera - The Ultimate Edition (1925 Original Version and 1929 Restored Version), The Hunchback Of Notre Dame (Ultimate Edition), Frankenstein (75th Anniversary Edition Universal Legacy Series), Gattaca and maybe Gollum ....All I can tell you in addition is to SEE THIS if you see nothing else from the period. You'll fall in love with Saoirse Ronan if you haven't already - and you'll fall in love with this unique, dazzling film.

This is one of the first movies i went to see with my wife on the bigscreen in a long time thinking it would be awesome! She fell asleep andI forced my self to to stay awake cause cause i actually paid money forthis. Wait to download this movie when a good copy comes out on thenet!!It started out cool but there were so many scenes that just bored thecrap out of me. The trailer is deceiving! It makes you think highoctane film. it is not. After all it is a PG13 movie. when littleaction starts one would expect to see what happens. It doesn't. You seethe beginning of a scene when she is about kill someone but it justshows someone dead after she caulks her gun or other device.BORING MOVIE!!!!!

Saoirse Ronan is a good actress...a really good actress. Kids who cankill people in movies are awesome if done right (just look atHit-Girl). That being said, Saoirse Ronan playing a kid who can killpeople was, well, to put it nicely, the biggest letdown in years. It'sa sad day in movies when I can say the only good thing in a movie isthe score by The Chemical Brothers. Going in, I was expected a smartaction-revenge-thriller, but what I got was a movie that obviously didnot have a lot of thought going into it. It's a mess in which SaoirseRonan tries to attempt a Hit Girl meets James Bond character but itjust ends up being a film about a dull meets duller character. Hannanever leaves the ground. It just stays there hoping you will beentertained by both mindless violence and mindless dialogue (both ofwhich I was entertained by in many movies.) Even though I wasentertained by both of these things in many movies, I wasn't in Hanna. The reason for this being that it just wasn't done well enough inHanna. The talented performers Cate Blanchett and Eric Bana are also init, but they're wasted as characters that don't really get their chanceto shine. Hanna may leave a lot thinking it was quote on quote "cool",but I was bored, and if you have a mind for movies, or that matter, amind for anything smart, you'll be bored, too.

This review is from: Hanna (Amazon Instant Video) I just saw this movie, it's worth seeing maybe even owning. It's a revenge movie on one hand, a action film on the other, and a fable all on in one.

The title of this review is a twice stated comment from Hanna - thefirst when she shoots a dear with her bow and arrow and the second atthe end when the arrow is aimed at a significant human character. Butactually the quote could summarize the response of most people whowatch this strange film Written by newcomers Seth Lochhead and DavidFarr and directed by Joe Wright who has 'The Soloist', 'Atonement', and'Pride & Prejudice' to his credits, the problem with the film is thetelling of the story: the whole thing makes sense at the end but beforethat the audience is left in somewhat of a quandary as to who is whoand where is where and why the whole thing is progressing the way itdoes. Thankfully the entire concept is resolved in the closing minutes- and anyone who shares those secrets in a review would be doing adisservice to those who will encounter this gripping, action-packedthriller. The story opens in the forest in winter in Finland: teenage Hanna(Saoirse Ronan, an actress who is maturing very well indeed) lives withher father Erik (Eric Bana), an ex-CIA agent who has devoted his lifesequestered with his daughter to raise her to be the perfect soldier. They spar, challenge each other's fighting skills, hunt, share books, all the wile Erik is making Hanna memorize data about being from theGrimm house (as in the Brothers Grimm) in Berlin. At a certain pointHanna feels she is ready to go into the real world on her 'mission' andErik changes his hunter costume for a suit and departs also (a strangesignal box is turned on that will alert Erik's past confrères as to hisreturn. From this point we follow Hanna into many strange placesincluding an interrogation chamber which seems totally foreign to herand tricks her into thinking her skills have accomplished her missionof killing one Marissa (Cate Blanchett). Hanna escapes and continuesher journey across Europe, Morocco, and unnamed places, all the whileon the run and practicing her well-informed assassin skills. She isfollowed by Marissa, and by the bizarre Isaacs (Tom Hollander) and hiscompanion CIA Tech #1 (Paris Arrowsmith). Hanna meets quite by accidenta family on vacation -the hippie mother Rachel (Olivia Williams), thefather Sebastian (Jason Flemyng) and their two children Sophie (JessicaBarden in a superb role as Hanna's only friend) and Miles (AldoMaland). As the enemy closes in on Hanna and her adopted family, Hannamust leave and head for Berlin, all the while Erik is making his waytoward Berlin, desiring to face Marissa with the secrets of Hanna'sbeginnings as a human experiment. And form that point the story must beguarded from those who must figure out the ending for themselves. Saoirse Ronan and Eric Bana give superb performances: Cate Blanchettseems oddly miscast here, having a difficult time figuring out which ofher accents belongs to the monochromatic role. This is not a film forthose who need linear storytelling: the film does jump around a bitseemingly in search of a story, but that all comes to pass in thefilm's end. It is a brainy movie, well made, and one that keeps theviewer on the edge of the seat, scratching the head, until the finalminutes. Grady Harp

This could have so easily been a great movie had they done just twothings... doubled the pace and increased the action. But, with that aside let's focus on the positives for the film...Soundtrack - fantastic. Really funky beats (Chemical Brothers for themost) and you really feel the playful and intense mood the film istrying to achieve.Plot - solid and quirky, full of humour and intrigue.Action - brilliant... fight scenes you can actually follow! Wellchoreographed and you feel every punch, kick and stab!Performances - excellent, all the cast are believable and enjoyable, even when they are misbehaving...Will's verdict - Rent/Borrow it, well worth one watch*a note - a modern-day Leon it is not... there is one common theme butthe similarities end there, the film is its own thing, very unique, very watchable.
