I've been watching this series from the beginning, so I think I cantalk a little here. "Supernatural" started strong with great shocks, but was extremelyself-conscious, to the extent that the aside-jokes seemed like a forcedelement, the actors looking pained in their characterizations ofhard-boiled cynics with sharp wit. In fact, this was my only complaintagainst the show, but it became more overbearing as time went on: theinterminable wise-cracks, the ridiculous impersonations of lawenforcement - repetitive and annoying. Then, something great happened. Actually, three great things happened.First, the show found its mythos. Dean's impending death is a muchbetter attention-grabber than the missing-father angle, or theodd-couple-brothers tradeoff. Although we feel that we know that Deanmust survive, we also have a creepy feeling that to do so wouldcompromise the show's integrity. It would have to be REALLY clever forDean to escape his contract, and not disappoint fans of spooky genre.Of course, Jensen Ackles fans don't really care HOW it's done, as longas the actor remains on the show, but a certain intellectualconsistency needs to be maintained also, if the creative minds care atall.Second, the self-consciousness of the brothers' impersonations andbarbs has reached epic proportions so that those moments have become alittle comedic expectation unto itself. No more do I dread the eventualcharade of Dean and Sammy playing phone-company representative, orforensic specialist. The writers seem to have left behind the "pleaseexcuse us for adding this tired plot device" to "did you notice howwe've exaggerated it to the point of lunacy?" I have, and I think it'sgreat.Third, the shocks and plotting have really improved. Now that theacting has found its stride, the writers have broadened the range ofemotions and thought processes that they allow Dean and Sam. We stillsee Sammy tense his jaw muscles when he's upset, but his dialogue isless stilted, with more subtlety and feeling. This makes me like Sam somuch more- he's no longer the naive one from series start. In fact,we're not really sure WHAT he is anymore, are we? Dean has grown also, and his fear of Hell seems very real. Combining these standard themesof monster-of-the-week with mythos, and a growing artistic talent,"Supernatural" is starting to approach the tension and belief levels ofpre-shark-jumping "X-files."

Is a good show with potential to be better if given a chance. Thecharacters definitely play well against each other, there's goodchemistry there. The idea of taking urban legends and myths of smalltowns is well done, and with a little more effort from the writers, this show could become top notch. The actors are very good, and thescenes are pretty authentic. The story of two brothers in search of their father, in search ofmonsters/ghosts and things that go bump in the night, and at the sametime in search of themselves is a good ploy. Not to mention, these guyshaven't seen each other for years and now need to do some catch up. Youcan sense the different worlds they grew up in, as sometimes they havea difficult time in relating to each other. One will mention somethingthat will totally go over the other's head. Different pasts.Supernatural is definitely not a time waster, and a heck of a lotbetter than most of the shows on TV right now.

So they find a gun that was made by Samuel Colt, he made 13 bullets togo with it. he gives it to a "hunter with a horse" he uses it "half adozen times" this means there should be 7 bullets left.flash forward to father john who is being attacked by "meg" he gets thegun & fills all the chambers (6) he never fires the gun.so 1 bullet missing Next episode dad says only 5 shots left use themcarefully so another bullet missing where did they go ? are seam & deanrotten shots ? love the show, glad its coming back.

This is a series that is tailor made for....just about everyone. Forfans of mysteries, thrillers and especially science fiction/horror thisis a series that is well worth taking a look at. Also, since it is onthe WB, it is coated with eye candy for both genders. This is like the Hardy Boys and Kolchak: The Night Stalker rolled intoone, with a little bit of Blade thrown in for good measure. The series follows two brothers, who when they were very young (Sam 6months, Dean about 3 or 4) tragically lost their mother when she waskilled by a supernatural being. Their dad managed to save them and hemade it his life's work from that point on to hunt Supernatural beingsand try to find an explanation for what had happened. He also trainshis sons to do the same thing. The series picks up twenty three years later, with Sam at college andDean still hunting. However, there dad is missing and Dean wants Sam tohelp him look for him.

This show is absolutely wonderful! It's one of the few shows I'vereally gotten into. The actors and guest stars are wonderful at whatthey do, and this show proves it. The episodes have scared me more thanmost movies have. Dean and Sam are an exact portray of brothers, sticking together through thick and thin, being there for each otherwhen one is in trouble, and fighting of course. It's truly one of myfavorite shows, and everything about it is amazing. The guest starsthey choose are very good and the story lines are well-acted out. Thescene is really terrifying as well. They make this show look so good, Inever want to stop watching! I love it!

I really like the show but why do they insist of making the two maincharacters show the extremes of their personalities every otherepisode. Dean and Sam are opposites in a lot of way - we get it. Stopalternating having one of them overacting like a complete idiot everycouple of episodes. Dean especially, by the end of Season 3 I wanted tokill him myself. Other than that - awesome show. Original writing andgreat directing. "Roadkill" and "Heart" were some of the best TV showepisodes I've ever seen. Hopefully it stays the course and cut down onthe brothers doing completely out of character, moronic things. Howmany times can they get each other killed and then saved without itseeming ridiculous? Oh, wait - already too late... Yet despite that, sofar the show has been getting better. Keep it going.

I really enjoyed the first season of Supernatural. The actors are good, the show dynamic is good, and they had an interesting meta-plot to movethe season along. While that meta-plot was not resolved by the end ofthe season, marked progress had been made. The show has a fresh take on the monsters it encounters, making a pointto usually say, "'this' is the folklore about this creature, but asmonster hunters we know the truth is 'actually this'". Sometimes, thatfresh take worked really well and others it didn't. Sometimes theirsupposedly real folklore & occult knowledge was way off before theyeven got to their show-reality stuff. However, I give them props fortrying new things and putting some fresh elements into the genre. If you have any interest in this genre, the show is definitely worthchecking out.

I mean,it's really impressive for this people. Because it's giving youeverything about ghost stories, spirit, angels, devils. If you likethese you're gonna love it! Like me. I am watching this serial foryears. My favourite character is Sam! Because he is very clever andstrong. He always makes right choices. My another favourite characteris Castiel after Sam. I'm not gonna explain this because it's can beexplained with one word: Angel! Because he is angel. He is strongerthan every devil and every character. By the way, Castiel and Dean arevery good friends. I love dean too because he always protects hisbrother. Even Sam doesn't like this. I don't know how can explain thismovie how is awesome. I am thinking every person who loves ghoststories, angels, magic and like this subjects, you have to watchSupernatural.

Supernatural was definitely the hit new TV show in Australia for 2005.I loved the mixture of horror, comedy and drama within the show. BothJensen Ackles and Jared Paladecki played their roles well, and I haveto say my favorites part of the show was not just the greatSupernatural threats they faced each episode but rather watching theirrelationship as brothers and as young men play out. Dean, the seemingly'flaky' one is seen growing through the series as simply a vulnerableyoung man seeking approval from his father. Sam is the more rebelliousson who is more like his father than Dean is and unlike Dean isn'tafraid to question his Dad about what's going on. You can tell thateverything John has done is for the good of his son's, yet at the sametime he was selfishly motivated to seek revenge on the demon thatkilled his wife. Because of this motivation, his parenting skillsprobably aren't as ...healthy as they could have been. Overall this isjust an awesome show. I've read about the season two story lines and Icannot wait until we get them here in Australia.

Well I'd have to say this show is one of my favorites. Its plot twistsand good direction/acting make it not only interesting plot wise butalso cinematography wise. As an aspiring director I find it a slightinspiration when it comes to lighting and such. I'd highly recommendit. Plus, the guys in it are really hot... always a bonus. But it keepsme and my friends (who are also die hard fans) at the edge of ourseats. We hope that it'll come back for another season, because thefinale is in a few days. And just so you know it's on at 9 on the WB on Thursday's. Best showever, folks.

My summary says it all, its the best show ever, I watched the first 5seasons in the space of 3 weeks, this was before season 6 came out, nowI am excited for season 7 coming out on the 22nd of September.I am going to keep it short, if you haven't watched it I don't knowwhat you are doing with your life. It has a gripping and growingstoryline from season 1-6 and the characters are so well thought outand also grow through every season.SAY NO MORE10 OUT OF 10LOVE IT!!

This is probably one of the best on TV right now. I have watched everyepisode since it began being aired in the UK and I love it. The specialeffects are excellent without overshadowing the plots or the maincharacters. One of my favourite episodes of season one is "Asylum" -agreat scary (and creepy) episode. I love the exploration of therelationship between the brothers, Sam and Dean, which is played outthroughout the series (I can relate to Dean as I am an older siblingtoo). Supernatural is scary, sexy (particularly when Sam or Dean takeoff their shirts!), and gripping. Any fan of theparanormal/supernatural should find something to love about thisfantastic show.

Finally a scary show that does not gross you out, but gives spineshivers and plays with your mind and imagination with great writing andthe stars handle comedy (refrence to other ghost TV shows currentlyon-air made me laugh) and the scary stuff perfectly (Seeing a shadowbehind a curtain is more frightening then a million bucks worth ofCGI). Supernatural is a hit for me and the members of the media I workwith, its always water cooler chat the next day about Tuesday nightsepisode. The cast of 2 reminds me of the early episodes of the X-Files,and thats a good thing, Jensen Ackles (Dean)fits this role to a Tee,much better then on Smallville, but working with Kristin Kreuk inVancouver must have had its positives and Jared Padalecki (Sam) fromFlight of the Phoenix is such the opposite it makes interestingcharacters. Its a big bowl of popcorn and an hour well spent Tuesdaysat 9pm (Eastern Time)BRAVO !

Supernatural has to be one of the most thrilling and entertaining showson the Tivo. Starring Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, the older takeno prisoners brother with a comic wit, and Jared Padalecki, the youngermore compassionate brother. If you are a fan of urban legends, freaky monsters, and gruesome yetawesome special effects then you will enjoy this show. Not only are theguys easy on the eyes, but the acting is phenomenal and the plot neverceases to disappoint. I've been watching this show for years and notonce have I found an episode that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Thecombination of brotherly love, hilarious moments, scary monsters, anddeep thought; makes this show truly one of a kind.I've personally introduced this show to guys and gals alike and everyone of them are hooked. If that doesn't give you an urge to watchSupernatural, then you'd clearly have to lack the curiosity every otherfaithful viewer possesses.

I think it is a awesome show, I watch it ever Thursday, the fact Samand his father have both being possessed make it all the more excitingand it's really getting good. I love this show, and if you like scarymovie that make a thousand turns than you will like the movie CRY WOLFSam plays in it to.Super natural is not just about hunting and killingdemons,it's about finding out about whats going to happen to Sam andand how he blames him self ever time he can't save someone and startsto beat himself up.Dean on the other hand (who is the older brother andshorter one)who is trying his hardest to protected Sam without havingto fallow his dads orders of killing Sam (if he can't save him).

As a fan of the horror genre, I was skeptical that a TV show could givethe same chills as big screen fare. What a pleasant surprise this pilotepisode was. From the beginning, it offered suspense and mystery. Theintroduction of the Winchester family is explosive. When we arereintroduced to Sam and Dean, older and wiser, their charactersimmediately establish all the layers of history between brothers. Theolder, Dean, bound by duty and loyalty to a father and the only life hehas known. The younger Sam, desperate to leave that life behind andstrives for the unknown, normal. The moral lines are fuzzy. Our goodguys commit crimes and lie, but it is in the fight against evil. Theyare protectors, hidden by the dark of night. There is a point when thewriting prophetically establishes that Dean has been, and always willbe there it watch out for his younger brother, and that Sam mustembrace what is his destiny.I look forward to seeing what is in the dark, and having these wellwritten and rich characters there to protect me. Plus they aren't hardon the eyes and have one heck of a car!

I think it is awesome but of course I'm not the only one who thinksthat. Not to mention the two hottest smartest men in the world are init. OK people I'm sorry but Jared Padalecki is a better person inSupernatural and in real life. Anyways I think people should watch itespecially if you like scary sad movies because this would top it. Ohand for the people who don't know what time and channel it comes on its9:00pm on Tuesdays and channel wb11. I also think you should watch itbecause it keeps you in suspense. There is so much more to it too. Ohand for all you Gilmore Girl fans it comes on an hour beforesupernatural, and I know a lot of people like Gilmore Girls andsupernatural. Oh and it is so great because after the credits you getto see what's on next Tuesday and it makes you want the day to come sobad.

Supernatural is a story about two brothers who hunt & kill all sorts ofsupernatural beings such as demons, spirits & the likes. I have toadmit that, season 1 got a bit repetitive. However, season 2 onwardseach episode had a completely new theme. This show is very fast pacedand thrilling! You are anxiously waiting as to what's going to happennext. Jared Padalecki is perfect as Sam Winchester. Jensen Ackles isbrilliant as Dean Winchester. The supporting characters are effectiveas well. Ackles' character Dean, provides comic relief from time totime, which is a welcome break from all the spooks. Padalecki'scharacter Sam, on the other hand, is more intense, which gives the showmany emotional scenes. However, Supernatural is not just about ghosts, possessed people, demons & other supernatural creatures. It's alsoabout the love shared between Sam & Dean and how they will go to anylengths to protect each other. The background score by ChristopherLennertz & Jay Gruska is one of the high points of the show, as themusic in a horror/thriller show is extremely important. So, if you wantto spend an hour watching an incredible show, filled with horror, action, drama, comedy & the love shared between the Winchester family, then, Supernatural is just the show for you!

When I first came across this series I didn't think I would love it asmuch as I do. I'd been looking for something to be addicted to againfor the longest time and Supernatural was completely from the leftfield for me. The plot is extremely well done, there are no flat, boring moments at all, it's very well-researched, there's a lot ofattention to detail in most scenes, and the chemistry in the cast isperfect. I did a marathon on the first two seasons from the moment Igot my hands on the DVDs. The sleep deprivation and consequent headacheis worth the 40+ something hours. I do suggest that you watch the series with a friend or anyone else forcompany. I watched the first season by myself and after a certainepisode I was starting to get bothered by random sights and sounds. Forsome people the series as a whole may not be as freaky as some horrorclassics, but after a prolonged period of exposure you'll get into theframe of mind to be scared, so have a buddy/boyfriend/brother close byin view of that.
