The show centers on two socially inept rock/metal-loving teenage boys, Beavis and Butt-head (both voiced by Judge), who live in the town of Highland, Texas. They seem to have no adult supervision at home, are woefully undereducated, and seem quite dim-witted. Although they are teenagers, they are young enough that they are barely through puberty. They attend high school, where their teachers are often at a loss as to how to deal with them, although in many episodes the two skip school altogether. They occasionally work part-time at Burger World and sometimes other side-jobs when people mistake their odd behavior as outgoing and assertive.

Genres: Comedy, Animation, Music

Year: 1997

Country: USA

Director: Mike Judge

Starring: Mike Judge, Tracy Grandstaff, Dale Revo

Available Quality: DivX

IMDB Rating: 8.1

The comedic value is partly based on the pair's lack of conventional values: they are highly obnoxious, perverted, and rude to almost every other character in the show, including each other. However, they do not realize this and seem to function on an instinctual level. They survive their often hazardous misadventures without serious consequences, though others around them do not fare as well. Mixed within each episode are segments in which Beavis and Butt-head watch music videos and provide hilarious and bizarre commentary improvised by Judge.

Co-created by Mike Judge (Beavis and Butt-Head, the cult classic Office Space) and Simpsons veteran Greg Daniels, this brilliant series boasts an impeccable voice cast, bull's-eye writing, and the most rollicking theme music on television.Unlike The Simpsons, which got a running start on The Tracey Ullman Show, the Hills may take a little warming ...

"You gotta be real, Bobby. Get in touch with your white roots. So advises African American comedian and driving-school instructor Buddha Sack (voiced by Chris Rock) in the episode "Traffic Jam," and in its second season, King of the Hill mines this fertile territory for some of the funniest and sharpest comedy writing on television. But it's the pitch-perfect ensemble, led by series co-creator Mike Judge as forthright Hank Hill and Kathy Najimy as the formidable Peggy Hill--that also gives King of the Hill a heart as big as Texas itself. Hank struggles to be the voice of reason in a world that often just "ain't right."In "Hilloween," Hank ral...

Beavis and Butt-Head - Season Seven

Genres: Comedy, Animation, Music

Year: 1999

Country: USA

Director: Mike Judge

Starring: Mike Judge, Tracy Grandstaff, Dale Revo

Available Quality: DivX

IMDB Rating: 8.1

One of the most well-known aspects of the series was the inclusion of music videos, which occurred between animated segments. The duo would watch and make humorous observations (about the band, a song's lyrics, and/or a video's visuals), or simply engage in nonsensical dialogs. Mike Judge improvised the video comments, and they were never scripted. Almost all the animations of Beavis and Butt-Head during the videos were re-used from earlier episodes. At times, the criticism reflected their young age and ignorance of music history. Upon seeing a video for "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath, they decided that the band's vocalist couldn't be Ozzy Osbou...

Available Quality: DivX, iPod

IMDB Rating: 7.7

With the Huxtables long gone, the Hills of Arlen, Texas, may just be television's most functional family. They are certainly one of the funniest as they struggle to appreciate "the little things in life while some big things are wrong and evil," as "sweet and trusting" Peggy learns in the classic episode "Peggy's Headache," in which Peggy is the last to discern that Dale's wife has had a decades-long affair with John Redcorn. Likewise, in "Death and Taxes," Peg is conned by an alleged former student, now a Death Row inmate, to unwittingly smuggle him cocaine. Hank, who is aptly described at one point as "a good husband with a good head on his...

Television, nay America, needs more men like Hank Hill, a stalwart, decent "fella" who, he proudly proclaims in the episode, "Movin' On Up," "keeps his yard free of debris and pays his bills on time." But a world that just ain't right keeps testing his moral fiber. In the two-parter "Hanky Panky"/"High Anxiety," Hank finds himself embroiled in a scandalous case of sex, drugs, and murder. In "Little Horrors of Shop," Hank is outraged to learn that his son Bobby's school has turned shop class into a study hall ("All parents care about these days is zero tolerance, drug policies, and literacy," the dejected principal tells him). In "Transnationa...
